Windows 95 Full version free download. It is a consumer-oriented graphical user interface-based operating system. It was released on August 24, 1995 by Microsoft and was a significant progression from the company's previous Windows products. During development it was referred to as Windows 4.0 or by the internal codename Windows Chicago. The first step towards today’s windows we use today, it was once again designed on a completely new kernel and allowed for major changes. The Jump from 3.1 to 95 is large and has many compatibility issues. 95 was the first to automatically boot and the first to have a start menu.

Instructions

This is the original collection of the Windows 95 Installation Floppy Disks in IMA format; easily used with Virtual PC; or winimage if you wish to copy the files to actual floppies for installation on your vintage machines.

TO install; boot from the Install.IMA file, then follow the on screen instructions.
